Burgess Shale is one of the most famous fossiliferous site. it was discovered and studied by Charles Doolittle Walcott. It is the Father of Precambrian paleobiology. In 1989 Stephen Jay Gould wrote one of the Best paleontology book called : Wonderful Life: The Burgess Shale and the Nature of History.
