We are offering a nice detailed fossil sponge. This is a Choia carteri  from the Cambrian of Marjum Formation Utah. Its skeleton somewhat resembling a pincushion, with  siliceous spicules. The super long basal spicules likely anchored the body in soft seafloor mud.
